Dear Amazing CalfPRO® backers ✨

This is a quick update to let you know that the latest and greatest sample was delivered and it's a winner!

Please see below:

This sample has the appropriate texture on the black areas, color in the logo and above all delivers the perfect heel lock with comfort! Most importantly, unlike past samples, this was made from start to finish with high volume tooling. This means we can now make 1000's of CalfPRO®s and they will all be identical.

Now... we go into production!

Also to ensure flawless fulfillment I have joined teams with Backerkit.. Surveys coming shortly.

Dear Amazing CalfPRO® backers ✨

As you know from Update #8.5 the design and materials used to form the original heel pad proved unsatisfactory in clinical testing. The heel pad was then redesigned. See below:

The new hybrid heel pad was a big success! It provided the exact heel lock and stretch that only the CalfPRO® can provide. The problem was, making this new hybrid heel pad now required retooling. Making the new tool was both costly and time consuming, please see retooling pictures below:

It took 28 days to machine the new tool, which is the reason why I've had nothing new to report since our last update. It was then integrated into the production tooling we already have at the factory and a final sample is being made as you read this update. The sample is scheduled for delivery early next week.

Once I have the final model, as promised I will be filming a "How to use your CalfPRO®" video with tips and tricks to get not only the deepest stretch, but also a treatment method I use in the office to improve your foot and ankle health.

We still need time to produce your units and ship them from the factory, so to ensure absolutely no Christmas Day disappointment, we are projecting a January fulfillment date. If they come sooner, they will be shipped earlier!

It certainly hasn't been a smooth road to production, but as a result of the lessons learned we actually have a CalfPRO® model that's even better than before!

The sample with the hybrid heel pad was delivered.

I am excited to report that it WORKS!

The new design produces a firm but comfortable heel lock and of course, the world's deepest calf stretch ⚡️?

We are in business!!!

Tooling has begun and as soon as we have an updated timeline, we will let you know in "Production Update #9".

Thank you so much for hanging in there...This is a tool that you will be able to use every day and may even save you from nasty pain syndromes of the knee, ankle and foot!

As you know from Update #7 the material used to form the heel pad proved unsatisfactory in clinical testing. Please see below:

Why is this happening? 

The 3D printed production model prototype worked perfectly, but when we made the CalfPRO® with molded materials the heel-lock felt different and the materials didn’t have the appropriate durability.

We needed to fix this in a way that would be durable, provide a perfect heel lock and could be delivered immediately.

Like right now.

More than anything else, we need to guarantee perfect delivery of calf stretching functionality.

In order to guarantee this outcome we duplicated the exact heel pad dimension and materials used in the original CalfPRO® office treatment tool prototype.

 

 

This tool has been used daily, by multiple patients to treat real cases of various foot, ankle and knee conditions since late 2018. It is tried and tested. The heel lock mechanism is snug and consistent.

So, we needed to combine the heel pad design components of the office prototype with the current tooling design which is already ready for production at the factory.

The Result:

We made a new hybrid dual component heel pad that will reproduce office quality heel-lock consistency and factory production quality. Most importantly, it can be ready to begin production almost immediately.

The most significant factor causing our recent delay was having to make new tooling for the new dual component heel pad insert.

Which also triggered another large tooling cost.

This is the hard reality of inventing and actually making an original piece of health and fitness equipment. It is a hard burden to bear, but fortunately it doesn’t affect you in anyway, except having to hold out just a little bit longer for your perfected health maintenance tool.

Nothing is going to get in the way of delivering the world’s first leveraged calf stretching tool to you, our amazing CalfPRO® Backers.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing excitement to see this journey concluded perfectly.

The fourth sample with the new, redesigned hybrid heel lock pad should be arriving early this week, and provided this version works exactly the way it is supposed to, we will be able to go into full scale production. I will keep you posted with images of the next sample when I receive it, and at that stage I will be able to update you with new shipping estimates.

Dear Amazing CalfPRO® Backers! ✨

The new softer heel pad was made at the factory and third sample was

delivered ✅?

We now have a CalfPRO® model that almost looks and feels right! The only missing features in this model are CalfPRO® logo color matching on the side and the appropriate texture applied to the black areas on the body.

I immediately started using the model with patients at my office. The feedback was great about look and feel of the device! On day 3 of deep calf stretching with patients at my office the softer heel pad unfortunately began to fatigue ⛔️

The device is intended to last you many, many years. As such, the material used for the heel pad must be changed.

.

We are now changing the heel pad to have a soft foam insert for better durability and even better, more snug heel lock and comfort.

The heel pad area is currently being re-engineered and a 4th sample will be produced in early October. Unfortunately this means shipping is now pushed back to November. I can assure you, delays are never fun, and no one wants to see the CalfPRO® come to life more than this wonderful CalfPRO® community. I am continually grateful for your ongoing messages of support and encouragement. You are a special group of health aware and physically proactive individuals. I am sincerely honored and excited to be a part of your personal health journey’s.

Why is this so important?

As you begin to lever over the top of the CalfPRO®, literally hundreds of pounds of force start to push through the back of your heel. It is imperative that the heel is trapped firmly in the front of the CalfPRO®, but held snuggly and comfortably at the same time.

Like I have said before, I want you to be comfortable.

If you’re not completely comfortable at the back of your heel when stretching on the CalfPRO® you’ll be less inclined to use it. Making sure you use your CalfPRO® daily will give you back control of your foot and ankle health! ?

This is now the only thing holding back full scale production of the CalfPRO®. It is however the most important component of the entire model.

As you can all see, inventing and producing an entirely unique product requires testing and re-engineering to arrive at a final model that can be produced in high-volume and still perform a function perfectly and comfortably when pressed against a sensitive human heel bone.

I am grateful for your patience and ongoing messages of support whilst we iron out the final kinks in this otherwise completed device.
